Depth of field atau sering disingkat menjadi DOF merupakan salah satu teknik fotgrafi yang paling dasar. Setiap foto memiliki kedalaman ( depth ) yang terbagi atas foreground ( depan ) dan background ( belakang ). Fokus pada lensa kamera dapat dikendalikan atau diarahkan pada objek tertentu. Pengendalian Depth of Field berguna untuk membatasi fokus pada foto dan lebih memberi kesan hidup pada foto.
